Dr. Susan LaGreca Beck
Dr. Susan LaGreca Beck is a board-certified optometric physician dedicated to serving the residents of Sarasota. Originally from Northern New Jersey, she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Binghamton University in Binghamton, N.Y. Dr. Beck achieved her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, graduating in the top 10% of her class.
Throughout her Optometric studies, Dr. Beck combined her love of travel with a commitment to serving diverse patients, completing rotations from Portland, OR to Jerusalem.
Prior to relocating to Sarasota, Dr. Beck and her husband, Dr. Ken Beck, practiced optometry in Washington, D.C., for 12 years. In addition to several practices in the D.C. Metro area, Dr. Beck founded 'Hope in Sight,' a charity providing exams and glasses for indigent families.
Dr. Beck's interests include raising her two elementary school-aged children while embracing the Sunshine State's offerings, such as attending spring-training baseball games, engaging in outdoor activities, and exploring new destinations through travel.
Actively involved in professional associations, Dr. Susan Beck is the current Board of Trustee for the Florida Optometric Association and a past-president of the Manasota Optometric Association. She is also affiliated with the American Optometric Association and has served as a former Board Member of Prevent Blindness Florida.
Dr. Sonya Vachhani, O.D.
Dr. Sonya Vachhani developed her passion for optometry early in life. From her first pair of glasses in second grade to shadowing her optometrist during high school, she found inspiration in the transformative power of vision care. These experiences solidified her decision to pursue a career in optometry, a field she remains deeply passionate about.
Dr. Vachhani earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University after completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida. She specializes in comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and the management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. With a keen interest in diagnosing rare eye conditions, Dr. Vachhani takes pride in educating her patients about their eye health and treatment options. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages, with a particular fondness for creating positive, engaging experiences for children.
Dedicated to staying at the forefront of vision care, Dr. Vachhani actively participates in the Florida Optometry Association and the American Optometric Association. Her commitment to excellence ensures her patients receive personalized care and access to the latest advancements in optometric technology.
Outside of the office, Dr. Vachhani enjoys traveling, watching sports, listening to music, and reading.
